A Southern mystery, written by hand and sent to your mailbox.
Willa Reeves runs a four-room inn on a lake in Rosemont Landing, South Carolina. People check in, people talk, and Willa has been writing it down for years. Now she's started mailing it out.
The current story is Deviled Eggs and a Funeral. Sonny Baxter died in his hammock with a glass of sweet tea going lukewarm beside him. Two hundred and sixty-three people came to the funeral, including all four ex-wives, and a woman in a blue dress that not one of them got the name of.
What arrives
The story comes in four mailings, one every two weeks. Each envelope holds a booklet of two chapters, a letter from Willa, a recipe card, and whatever the town left lying around: an obituary, an invoice, a page off somebody's legal pad. There's a reply card too, with a real post office box on it. Willa answers.
Eight weeks takes you start to finish. Then the next story begins, and you'll hear from us before it does.
